The Chronic Foundation
This Not-for-Profit company focuses its efforts in three broad areas: Market Development, Communications (Marketing and Behavioural Change), and Brokering / Networking.
The Chronic Foundation is a Social Enterprise, existing as a Not-for-Profit organisation. This guarantees re-investment of all Profit in new solutions for patients rather than in distribution to shareholders.
The mandate directs effort and profit to identify new patient categories, and to deliver solutions that empower and improve patient lives, whether through in-house development, via partnership or in support of existing or emerging quality third-party solutions. (Diabetefix has materially contributed to a number these).
But 'Not-for-Profit' does not mean 'Not-Commercial'. The Chronic Foundation has a number of commercial models for different projects including sales, consultancy sponsorship, grants and funding via traditional investors, corporate social responsibility,
